Talking of nature we cannot get away from the fact that is has been proven that plants inside the home are proven to improve the air quality that surrounds us.
Pot plants, flower and hanging baskets are what we are talking about. The more, the merrier is the way for plants. Know as biophilic design to some but don’t let the title put you off. the concept is simple, bringing Mother Nature into your life to increase connectivity to the Earth.
Sounds very grand but easily translated it is adding as much planting into your home and especially your living room. Planting that is bold, such as ferns and palms will lower humidity and raise your environmental credentials at the same time.
Do not be frightened to cluster the plants, shrubs and flowers together to create a feature corner of your living room.
8. Media Wall
As most living rooms will be the main family room in most houses the main focus of that room will inevitably be the television.
Televisions are getting bigger with each year so have become an issue as to their placement in the living room. Add into that equation the associated audio equipment then you have a relatively large area of even your small living room dedicated to the TV.
Why not consider a media wall? A feature that will encompass all the electronic entertainment equipment you have. With the right design and installation you can hide all of those unsightly wires, cables and plug sockets.
